3 Ways To Combat Seasonal Allergies.

Do you or anyone you know suffer from seasonal allergies?  Consider working with your allergies naturally!  I approach allergies from these three perspectives:

1. Rebuilding the immune system

2. Reducing inflammation

3. Creating a non-toxic environment

The wellness company I represent is a leading nutritional company, with a remarkable history, based in science, research and products in “Harmony with Nature”.

Experience a difference, and you will, or your money back.

Certain nutrients benefit the immune system. When the body is in crisis, it is important to “feed” the immune system at the cellular level.  Unfortunately we can’t do that with diet alone, supplementation is key.  Our nutrients have been tested for absorption, and are bio-available. What that means is that they are absorbed into the blood stream.

We begin with a core program, which may include Soy Protein and our Multi-Vitamin

We then add Vitamin CBeta-Carotene, and Vitamin E…these are nutrients that specifically support the immune system.  This begins the rebuilding process.  Vitamin C is very healing. Beta-Carotene is essential for the strength of mucousal membranes, a.k.a. your “inner skin”. Vitamin E has an affinity for oxygen.  All of these are nutrients work together to protect against free radicals.  Our company additionally offers a proprietary blend of nutrients that support the immune system all in one tablet and an advanced caratonoid product that replaces our former Beta-Carotene and includes 6 top carotonoids.

Naturopathic Physician Diane Petoskey says that allergies can be caused by an abnormal immune response or, surprisingly by poor digestion and a toxic lower intestine secondary to an overgrowth of Candida yeasts and pathogenic bacteria.  She recommends friendly bacteria - to prevent antibiotic problems, enhance and improve immune function.  Our pro/prebiotic guarantees live delivery of Bifidus and Acidophilus.

Secondly, those with allergies often experience inflammation. The “itis” of sinusitis, bronchitis and so on means inflammation of the sinus’s or bronchia. The medical drug approach to reducing inflammation is known for it’s many side affects. We have found that certain nutrients reduce inflammation naturally. Gamma Linolenic Acid is an essential fatty acid found in plant seed oils, such as evening primrose oil or borage seed. GLA has been found to control acute and chronic inflammation. Ours comes from borage seed oil which is 3 times more concentrated than GLA sourced from evening primrose oil.  Omega 3′s are another natural anti-inflammatory sourced from fish oil.  Vitamin C also reduces inflammation.

There are also herbs that benefit those who have allergies. It is important here to note the purity, potency and the quality control of our medicinal herbs. In this industry there is no federal regulation, recent studies have shared with us that there is often misrepresentation in the labeling in “health food store products”.  Our products go through a complex and stringent raw materials check.  Our products are manufactured at pharmaceutical grade, not because we have to, more because they choose to.  They are tested again once they are manufactured for bioavailabilty. This rigor is unheard of in the industry.

A few recommended herbs include:

Garlic is a natural anti-bacterial, fungal, anti-viral substance.

Alfalfa as a natural decongestant.

Echinacea as an immune system booster

and Gingko-biloba which assists circulation, helpful to the asthmatic.

The final area we have had dramatic results with is cleaning up your personal environment. A person with allergies may be even more sensitive to toxins than others. There is no reason to use laundry or household products that could aggravate this condition. We have a complete line of environmentally safe, phosphate free cleaning and laundry products.  Sometimes something as simple as shifting laundry products can reduce allergy symptoms.

Your Mucousal Lining Needs Its Beta

When one thinks of anti-oxidants they typically think of  the super trio Vita C, E and Beta Carotene.

I have always known Beta Carotene to be the all mighty carrot!

We all know carrots are good for you.

However, as nutritional sciences advanced so did the advent of anti-oxidant discoveries.

While Carrots or Vitamin A are wonderfully valid, they were found to be even more significant paired with carotenoids!

Perhaps you have heard of your lycopene, lutein, zeaxanthin, alpha caroten, and astaxanthins.

These carotenoids are found in  richly pigmented fruits and vegetables. They are of great benefit to your health.

Our product is the only product on the market to offer this optimum blend of nature’s carotenoids.

These fat soluble antioxidants have been implicated in the long term health of the eyes, prostate, cervix, lungs and heart

Caratenoids working together support a strong immune system

Woman with low levels of beta carotene double the risk of developing breast cancer.

If you are not eating 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables daily than this product is for you.

You may be in need of carotenoid supplementation if you have:

age related macular degeneration
are involved in a high stressed life
have a diet that isn’t well balanced
have lung problems
are at risk for prostate cancer
cervical dysplacia
a body full of toxins
heart problems
are exposed to the sun
have a family history of cancer

Benefits include:

promotes proper night vision and eye health
is an anti-oxidant – contributes to overall wellness
increases immunity
reduces risk of heart disease, prostate and cervical cancer
promotes lung health
aids in the detoxification of the liver

Your mucousal lining, also known as your inside skin is made up of carotenoids, when you have issues with your sinus’s often we look at strengthening your inside skin with therapeutic dosages of carotenoid supplemention.

Vitamin C for Seasonal Allergies Or The Flu

A classic anti-oxidant nutrient, very well known for its boosting immune function is Vitamin C.

Soon citrus fruit will be at its prime.  I personally can’t eat enough grapefruit and or oranges yet, am I actually eating enough Vitamin C to ward off all the invasions my body needs to fight on a daily basis?

I believe not.

This is why it’s really important to supplement with Vitamin C.

Vitamin C is depleted by stress, infections, fatigue, anxiety, pollution and extremes in temperatures.  Birth control pills, smoking, and alcohol deplete Vitamin C.  As we age, there is an even greater need for Vitamin C to regenerate collagen.

Symptoms or conditions you may have that suggest you need more Vitamin C

Stress
Bruise Easily
Bleeding Gums
Nosebleeds
Varicose and Spider Veins
Slow Healing of wounds and fractures
Chronic infection
Shortness of Breath
Allergies and Asthma
Frequent Colds and Flu
Swollen Glands
Anemia
Weakened Immune System
Polyps in Colon
Alzheimer’s
Macular Degeneration

The benefits of supplementing your Vitamin C include:

Helps the body absorb iron and calcium
Natural antihistamine; helps allergies
Reduced risk of heart disease up to 40%
Reduces risk of cancer
Powerful antioxidant
Frequently used in the prevention and treatment of the common cold
Reduces risk of cataracts
Increases resistance to ligament and tendon injury
Protects from radiation ( xrays )

Not all Vitamin C products are created equal!  As a matter of fact most are incomplete or petroleum derived.  If your current Vitamin C label says absorbic acid, your  Vitamin C is missing part of its parts!  Absorbic Acid is only one part of what one would find in an orange picked off a tree.   Vitamin C is water soluable.  You need protective dosages of it all day long!

Our superb complete Vitamin C product is sustained released melting ever so slowly in your digestive track releasing 100 mg of C each hour.

Sure beats eating oranges around the clock! Even if they are yummy!!

Got little one’s? Try treating them to our chewable version. Each tablet is 100mg

Kids absolutely love these!

Hayfever And Echinacea

I adore echinacea flowers. Always have.

Their cone shaped centers completely intrigue me. The purple cone flower. How positively cool.

When our company launched it’s medicinal herbal line, Echinacea was top of the list.

I never knew that Echinacea was native to our country.

Europeans have been using it as natural immune booster for hundreds of years.

What took us so long?

I also never knew that it was for intermittant use vs daily consumption

I also didn’t understand that one Echinacea product could be better than another.

Early in my supplement taking days I was ill enough that rebuilding my immunity was going to be a long term project.

I often felt on the verge or getting a cold. Ever feel that way?

This for me was when echinacea came to play.

If you are on the verge of a cold, flu, sore throat, cough, swollen glands, wounds, ulcers, bacterial infection, viral infection, fever, herpes, boils or skin eruptions ie: poison ivy or tonsilitis…

Then taking Echinacea can help you

This common and remarkably effective herb can …

stimulates the body’s natural response
pumps up the immune response
promotes production of white blood cells
stops virus’s from duplicating
anti-inflammatory
anti-cancer properties
attacks foreign invaders

the above sourced from nutrition and you

Our high quality echinacea productcan be swallowed, crushed into a tea or used as a lozenge for a sore throat.

My nutrition mentor describes echinacea this way:

there are these bad guys in the blood stream, the white blood cells job is to eat them, sometimes the white blood cells have alot of eating to do.  Echinacea gives them ( the white blood cells ) little engines on their tails to move a tad faster – this way they can manage and eat more of the bad guys

How’s that for scientific ?

Works for me!!

The brilliance of our company and it’s commitment to science and nature is their understanding that nature works synergistically. Anyone can put some echinacea in a bottle, but can they standardize the extract so that it delivers an exact amount of valued herb each and every time?  Not all companies do that.  Ours does.

Do other companies look at other immune boosting minerals and herbs to see how they can assist the mighty echinacea ? You will find zinx, larch tree and elderberry and other juice extract in this product as well. Why?? Because it makes the echinacea perform better in the body.

The tree does not stand alone

Take Echinacea upon the tickle you might feel when something is coming on — take for no more than 7 days.  If you are under stress or know that seasonal allergies are pending,  add echinacea to your immune system building/ fighting team.

OK for Kids to take too.

information sourced from nutrition and you

For the products on the market everywhere that have added echinacea, especially products that one might consume daily.

Forget them, total marketing phoooey.

You just don’t take this herb daily and expect it to be valid in the body.
