It’s actually a “milkweed pod” – favorite food of Monarch butterflies and other of Nature’s Lovelies! It’s a valuable Native Wild Flower that thrives in moist areas.
Some consider it a “weed” – if they don’t believe that ‘flowers that I didn’t plant’ still count as ‘flowers’.
