Past that I thought I’d share a bit of what happened after my sharing last year:
The post ranked no 4 on reddit on September 23rd 2008- other news that day were stories about Obama – i love it – my burger and obama …the “news” of the day.
The response and the traffic blew out my bandwidth.
The largest canadian talk show THE HOUR contacted me
I got a call from a man in new zealand, an educator – he offered me a MLM business opportunity
a woman called, her son said the burger post went viral at his college
the lavin agency out of toronto wanted to represent me in their speakers bureau
a fed ex man came off a 30 hr shift and called to thank me – an over the road driver he shared how ill fast food made him
Nat’l Post – canadien paper – did an article
Goedele a Belgium magazine contacted me
a singer asked if he could sing about it
a reporter shared that when she called mcdonalds and asked about me they said i was an urban legend
a woman asked me to speak for the org slow food movement
a woman from the center for hope and eating disorders called to thank me
sun newspapers from cleveland interviewed me
an educator writing a book about biblical foods called to thank me
The post was picked up by reddit. It was stumbled and dugg.

A portugese magazine Visao, did an article that included the burger
Men’s Health magazine published the burger photo, w/ permission in their best and worst of 2008 – Jan/Feb 2009 issue
Best of Mother Earth Blog’s Techonorati rating quadrupled.
The Blog was listed as one of the top 10K blogs in the world !!
102,000 hits that particular day, a month later it reached over a half million hits in 195 countries.
Currently there are well over 1000 comments , mostly icky pro-burger.
The devotion to a burger astounds me.

Wow and yuck! All that traffic and exposure is amazing. So how long are you going to keep the burger? Does it have it’s own special spot? How often do you check on it?
i plan on just keeping it, no time limit. right now it sits on top of the file cabinet – it comes out for show and tell usually. Someone is always interested in seeing it
please tell me you don’t eat McD’s anymore as a result of this. gross gross gross…
