In July it begins. Store aisles blaringly display bean bag chairs, dorm organizers, pencils, notebooks, backpacks and binders. Its that lovely back to school consumerism reminder. Buy, Buy, Buy!
Keep Your College Kids Healthy.Here it is August already and it’s rock and roll back to school time for college kids.
You can feel the flurry of purchasing. You can feel the excitement and anticipation.
Doesn’t help that I have a daughter who’s going to be a freshman in college this year.
From a parent perspective, when I think of college I think of parties, germs – especially in those dorm showers, poor quality eating – can you say iceberg lettuce? Not to mention the likelihood of weight gain,stress and illness.
With parents often miles away – what can we do?
I suggest we encourage healthy living and prevention.
Consider spending your consumer dollars with a conscientious company.
I personally will do all I can to encourage and support any college student who wants to be vibrant, healthy and alert for school. ( ask me about my 50% shipping offer!)My daughter by choice, not by insistence on my part, is taking much of what the list below suggests. Her brother when he left for school had his list too, and still three years later is particular about the products he cleans with or puts on his body. I am grateful for their positive attitudes and their exampling to others. It could have been a time of breaking away that included choosing thiner own brands and yet they remain loyal to how they were raised. I think that’s cool.
