Taking the Weekend Off

I am staying as far away from my computer as possible this long holiday weekend.

Here are some recent shots of our Marble taken by my daughter

  1. Oh Alline you are here! Welcome! Soooo many people adore my dog’s nose.  It is delightful I agree!

  2. Karen,I like her eye – eyes are the windows to the soul – I always look into my dogs’ eyes – when I do that I know they love me.Lor

  3. The thing is …they look back and they sometimes are so wise in their eyes!! Soulful indeed!!

  4. Why thank you!! My daughter really does have a great style with her photography. it’s honest and whimsical. That’s how best to describe it. Sure do appreciate you stopping by!

  5. I came here looking for the preserved McD’s burger. I have seen similar photos online before but it’s always a good reminder of the lack of food in their food so I’m sorry to see your post gone. I hope it didn’t have anything to do with any corporate strongarming. Anyway, as a lifelong husky fanatic myself I was pleased to find a pretty snow dog in your site header. Marble’s a beauty and that’s quite a snow nose on her—my black and white girl’s is much more subtle, and my black and white boy doesn’t have any snow nose at all. Just a big black button.I like the grass photo best. Very nifty composition and it looks peaceful. Also shows off that husky mask!

  6. Hi Michelle,
The McD’s post blew out my Blog’s bandwith and that is why it disappeared. It’s now back at my blog where it’s supposed to be.
I am delighted that you stayed awhile and found the Marble Pics. Always nice to meet another owner of Siberian Huskies. Never heard the term snow nose before. Why is it called that ?

  7. Oh no—sorry about your bandwidth. That can be an unpleasant surprise.”Snow nose” is so called because in some dogs it is more pronounced during the winter, which has something to do with melanin production (resulting in nose coloration) in days of shorter length. You can see videos of my pretty sled dogs playing together at http://www.youtube.com/user/Sapphir3blu3 . Not a lot of snow nose in those videos, as mostly they were taken in high summer, but they’re fun to watch anyway!

  8. I have had so many appreciate her nose, and yet that expression has never come up – your dogs are wonderful!!! Thanks for the video
