At Target they have a garden decor section. Smith and Hawkins affiliated and for those who decor their garden, the stuff is kindof nice. Years ago they had this duck series and I would affectionately visit them when I did the occasional Target shop. I seem to recall my hesitation in ever purchasing a duck was the price – these were expensive – at least to me.  Whenever my daughter went shopping with me we’d visit the ducks.  This has been going on for a few years. Seemingly Target bought a lot of these ducks.  

As a collector, ducks do not really fit in with art glass, anything cat, tea cups, rocks, and little boxes theme.

At Christmas one of my gifts was this duck.
 
It sits on top of my TV, and when I walk the dog I can see it in the window from the street. I call it the “duck that could ” because of how it somehow managed to climb on top of the TV. 

The thing totally makes me smile.
